West Indies Win Big Against Australia

Women can accomplish anything we put our minds to. The Women of the West Indies win big in the Cricket Tournament. In the Caribbean, females are very athletic, hard-working, and determined to win against all odds. No one was expecting this big win for the Caribbean, but they beat out Australia to bring the victory home. Women everywhere should celebrate with the West Indies team. Who says women can’t play sports? We are more fit than most and put our best foot forward in the game.

Australia lost their title to the winning team. The West Indies celebrated in fanfare blasting their national music from loud speakers. They jumped in jubilee as they stopped to pose for pictures. The women are photographed putting the #1 sign in the air with smiles on their faces. This is not only a win for the Caribbean, but for all women around the globe:

Indian Express Celebrates West Indies Women Win Against Australia:

The DJ had turned on the Calypso and ‘Champions, champions’ blared out of the sound system. The West Indies women began the merry dance. Stafanie Taylor, Hayley Matthews and Deandra Dottin all celebrated joyously. The Caribbean women had earned every bit of it, after their convincing eight-wicket win over Australia in the women’s World T20 final. A world record 120-run opening partnership between Matthews and Taylor set up the chase, which became pretty facile in the end. It was West Indies’ maiden title, dethroning three-time defending champions. “When we wake up in the morning, we will say, ‘Is it a real Trophy?’ I will ask myself, ‘Is this real?’ “When we touch down at the Caribbean, that’s when it’s going to hit you. A lot of people with cameras and you will realise that you have won the World Cup,” Taylor beamed.
